The LA Dodgers (38-33, 2nd NL West) have won five of their last six games including a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers completed over the weekend. The next series against the Washington Nationals (43-27, 1st NL East) won’t be as easy.
Clayton Kershaw (10-1, 1.58 ERA) will be facing off against undefeated Stephen Strausburg (10-0, 2.90 ERA) and remains unbeaten by Kershaw.

The NY Mets/LA Dodgers battle continues tomorrow at 8 PM in Dodgers Stadium. Clayton Kershaw came into the game needing a victory and after seven innings and three hits, the Dodgers walked away with a 3-1 road win.
“I don’t think anyone was going to outpitch Clayton Kershaw tonight,” Mets third baseman David Wright said. “I wish we could have won here, obviously so that we could prepare for the next round and do it in front of our fans. But Kershaw was just a beast tonight. It was going to be tough to beat him when he was on like he was. Hopefully we can take care of business in L.A.”
Now it’s down to one game at home for the Dodgers that will match Zack Greinke (the MLB ERA Leader) against the Mets’ Jacob deGrom.

Reigning NL Cy Young award winner Kershaw strikes out season high 12 batters
The LA Dodgers took their no-hit loss to the Seattle Mariners on Friday night and came back with two victories on Saturday (8-3) and Sunday (8-2) to take the mini series 2-1.
On Friday night, Jerry Hariston had three of the Dodgers 14 hits and put LA ahead with a three-run homer in the first inning after missing 16 games with a hamstring injury.
”I’ve been feeling pretty good for a while,” Hairston said. ”The biggest thing is I just want to make sure I have good at bats. ”
Helping Hariston was Clayton Kershaw who recorded seven of his first nine outs with strikeouts and had nine by the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Dodgers begin a three-game stand against the Los Angeles Angeles beginning Monday night.
